| On Wednesday, March 1, the OCC

concert. This year’s guest was the Central Hardin High
School Band under the direction of OCC member, David Centers.
Combined with the OCC Worship Orchestra 92 instrumentalists

Not only was it a beautiful
thing to see, but even more so, to hear as the sounds
of the instruments filled the sanctuary. As I shared with
the audience that night, the resonating sounds of instru-mental
music connect with us on a deep level because we ourselves
are resonate creatures. God designed us that way, so it’s
no coincidence that when music is played we not only hear,
but we feel it and it stirs our soul and prompts our emotions
and affords an opportunity to Praise our Lord.

Psalm 150 says:
“Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts
of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise
him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with
the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with
the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise
the LORD.”
