As OCC members begin setting goals for 2006, many of you will decide on a ministry to serve. There are numerous areas from which to choose, and your support will be greatly appreciated.

I’d like to tell you a little about the Office Ministry, which it has been my pleasure to be a part of for several years. I work each Monday at the receptionist desk in the office from 9:30 to 3:00. Some of my tasks include answering phones, computer work, mail distribution, copying, making follow-up phone calls, assembling booklets, etc. It’s pretty simple, no complicated training required. If I can do it, you can do it.

One of the things I enjoy about working in the office is the opportunity to meet and get to know many of the folks responsible for the day-to-day  activities that keep our church running like a home. Before I started volunteering, I never thought about how things got  accomplished at OCC. It didn’t take long to realize that lots of members pass through our church doors each day performing their various chores and making sure that everything under their care runs as smoothly as possible.
