Ministry

Before you read any
further, let me start by saying you found it and I am very excited
for you.
"Found what?"
you ask.
You have found the opportunity
you have been looking for! The opportunity to get involved. As
you journey into this new year, what do you want to be different?
Let me answer that question with a desire of my own. I want an
end to the 80/20 rule. You know - the rule that states 20 percent
of the people do 80 percent of the work. I do not think it is
fair to the other 80 percent of the people to be cut away from
the blessings you receive when you are actively involved in serving
God in ministry.I know what you are thinking:
"How dare they
(20 percenters), how dare they try to take all the joy for themselves?"
People just like you
are involved in 2, 3, or maybe even 4 ministries. Well, now is
your chance. I know people.....people I work with directly, who
are involved in multiple ministries, and I will help you get connected
with these NICE, FRIENDLY people and find a place for you to grab
hold of the joy and blessings that await you when you serve.
"What will happen
to the 20 percenters?"
( WOW, you are full
of great questions) The 20 percenters will cease to exist.....we
will become a Church of 100 percenters. That's 100 percent of
the work being done by 100 percent of the people.
Let me break out a
little "Technical Math" for you.
- 80% (of work) divided by 20% (of the people) = stress and
lack of individual time and strain on quality
100% (of work) divided by 100% (of the people) = 1 Church unified
and serving with a whole heart
At this point, I could
fill your head with countless analogies, but what good would that
do? You would just spend more time reading this instead of listening
to today's message. So, instead I will simply share with you a
few open positions I know about in the Production Ministry. NO
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 people can get involved right away working
in the Audio duplication ministry - This ministry requires you
to serve one Sunday a month at the information center, you must
have a smile, you must care about people, and you must be there
after 1st service until the start of the 2nd service, and after
the 2nd service for about 15 minutes. You will be assisting people
who want to obtain a copy of a sermon. (this position will go
quickly and I am offering a signing bonus of 2 verbal Thank You's.)
2 people can get involved in the lighting
ministry (after a 30 minute training class) - This ministry requires
a commitment of one Wednesday per month (5:45pm - Greenhouse end)
One Thursday per month (7:30pm-9:00pm) and one Sunday morning
(7:45am-end of 2nd service). The fortunate individuals in this
ministry have the responsibility of executing pre programmed lighting
commands. This opportunity will also fill in quickly so act now.

6 lucky people can become camera operators and
work with the finest video team I have ever known. 30 minutes
of training, a couple of those Thursday rehearsals (for training)
and you may be Sunday camera worthy. At that point you will be
put on a 1 Sunday per month rotation. On your scheduled Sunday
you must be camera ready by 8:30am. (Don't bother with makeup,
you will be behind the camera).
2 dedicated individuals will be selected to train
in the Sound Reinforcement Ministry (A.K.A. Sound Guy/Girl or
Person upstairs with the buttons) - This ministry requires time
to train and has no set training time limit. I will work around
schedules. This is a very detailed area and requires patience
with yourself, and others. One Sunday per month commitment consists
of Thursday rehearsal (7:30pm - 9:00pm), Sunday morning (7:30am
-end of 2nd service). (Bonus 2 Thank You's).
Stage Manager - Are you the type of person who likes
to tell others what to do, where to go, when to go, and how to
get there? If so, you could become our next Stage Manager. After
just a couple of Thursday rehearsals, you can be qualified to
"run the stage". One Sunday per month commitment consists
of Thursday rehearsal (7:30pm - 9:00pm), Sunday morning (7:30am
-end of 2nd service). (Bonus 2 Thank You's).
