Comments to OCC from Wesley
Manor Retirement Community:
“. . . I think you and your friends from Okolona
Christian Church are Miracle-workers! We are very grateful
for your help in beautifying the world of our late Alzheimer’s
residents and West Hall staff. Your prayers and interest
in our ministry make a huge difference in the lives of
everyone here at Wesley Manor - residents, family members
and staff.
“. . . Our resident care is wonderful, but we are
a not-for-profit senior ministry that provides several
hundred thousand dollars per year in assistance to needy
residents (over $455,000 last year alone.) Therefore,
we don’t have the staff and manpower necessary to
keep our garden areas and landscape looking as manicured
as we would like them to be.”
“. . . Your group made a huge difference in residents’
lives, and we are very grateful!! Thank you one and all
for your gifts of time, stewardship and service to our
residents. Your efforts really transformed the West Hall
garden areas!”
Donnie Haag’s small group took on Wesley Manor as
their service project during the “40 Days of Community”
sermon series earlier this year. Thanks go to this group,
and all the others who participated!
