"Google"
By Bill

Internet
search engines allow us to access an incredible amount of information
on any topic. While it makes for a great tool, two questions remain:
“How do you sort through all of it?” and “How reliable is the
information?”
Wouldn't
it be nice if you could submit a topic and have information provided
based on the resources you trust most? Well - here is your chance.
In the month of March we will begin a series named after the
famous
Internet search engine. You will be able to submit your topics
of interest. The speaking team will select some of the topics
and research them using the most reliable source ever written
– the Bible. The results will be presented as Sunday messages
in this series. So submit your topics this week and next by using
the form and box at the Information Center or by mailing them
to sermons@okolonacc.org.
Naturally,
we won't be able to address all of the topics submitted, but we
will choose some that we believe will be of benefit to the body
to explore.
We
would also like you to submit topics that would encourage you
to bring a friend. You know how conversations of interest around
the water cooler at work attract people to listen or participate.
Well, in that spirit, we want to plan several “Water Cooler Weekends”
throughout the year where we address topics that would be of interest
to our neighbors and work associates. There is a place for this
on the form at the Information Center . If you submit topics by
email do so in the following 2 categories:
“Google”...........................
Topics of value to
the church.
“Water
Cooler Weekend” Topics
of interest to those we are trying to reach
