Middle
School Girls' Retreat
by Meghan
Fox, Student
Aloha! Not too long ago
we came back from our third annual Middle School Girls Retreat.
This year we had the theme of “Lei it down Luau.” As we arrived
we received leis, and a T-shirt. We were definitely ready for
Hawaii .
We began our first session
with Donna White who taught us the steps on laying down things
before Jesus. We enjoyed her company that weekend. She told us
many ways we can also communicate with God. For example we can
pass him a note or talk to him like you would a friend.
After each session we would
break into our d-groups and discuss what we learned. It was a
nice time of socializing. I learned a lot about my friends.
During our free time we
would hang out with our friends. I think one of the most fun activities
was when Katie Johnston, Brianna Newman, and Taylor led the group
in jumping in the pond by the camp! What a great thing to do for
a Luau! We also played games, talked (go figure!), and hung out
outside. It was a really fun weekend of being GIRLZ!
I am so grateful for the
planning and time that goes into these retreats! They are very
special to all of us Middle School Girls. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME,
KAREN, REASA, SUNSHINE, JENNIFER, AND DONNA! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!
