High
School Natural Bridge Retreat
By Kristen
White
Sometimes we have to go away
for awhile in the quietness of nature to really get close
to God again. I thought that's what I had done this
past weekend on our annual high school retreat to Natural
Bridge …but then I remembered the big group of loud and
crazy high school students that made the trip with me, and
I realized it really wasn't so quiet! Nevertheless,
I think all of us had a great trip. From fun games
to amazing worship, and from record heat to pouring rain,
this weekend was definitely worth it all. |

The Natural Bridge retreat is a wonderful time for the high
school students to really get close to one another, and to
God. And I think this weekend both of those connections
were made. Because a good part of the weekend was student
lead, we all had the chance to work together. We played
team games (which included my team getting lost in a cave
for a good half hour!), and had a team song/dance competition
on Saturday night. My favorite parts of the weekend,
however, were the devotions and worship times we all got to
|
| share while on the retreat. You should've
heard our voices with the acoustic guitar out there by our
camp during worship time! It was like God had come down
right among us and was listening there in the trees…and I
have no doubt that He really was. This weekend was an
amazing experience for me personally, and I'm pretty sure
everyone else that came to Natural Bridge '07 will gladly
agree. |
