Sunday Reflections

What a great time of praise
and preparation last Sunday. Our intention was to relive the experience
of the disciples and you certainly got into the spirit of Praise
and Celebration. Hosanna… Sing to the King.
The kids did more than
entertain us. As Jesus said during the triumphal entry,” “From
the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise.” The
spirit of joy overflowed when young hands picked up palm branches
and young hearts sang Lift up your voice.
A review of the day affirmed
there was substance to your praise. Sunday's offering was the
second highest general fund offering ever (in fact 4 of the
7 best general fund offerings ever, have come in the last 10 weeks)
. God continues to bless us.
Life, like the last week
of Jesus' ministry has its ups and downs; joy mingled with challenge.
But this only makes days like last Sunday (and this morning) all
the more precious as we celebrate the victory of joy over sorrow
and life over death.
