Promotion
Sunday in Faithville
By Susan
Ehret, Early Childhood Director
Today
is promotion Sunday. What an exciting time in Preschool; new classrooms,
new teachers and a wonderful new curriculum. Everyone in Preschool
is excited about the new year.
W.E.E.
Celebrate
has been working hard on staging for the next year. Your children
can expect a bright, colorful, fun stage, filled with some new
friends. Some of our new large group friends are Casey the closet,
Mindy the mirror, & Clocky. The children will not only see
new things, they will also hear some
new music and sound effects throughout the entire large group
time. Lessons will be delivered in a whole new way. We will start
off in the “Child's Room” where our new friends live. Then we
will move on to play “The Great Kid Game” and soon after that
we will visit “The Story Kingdom Castle”.
The
children will still have their Small Group time. This time in
the classroom includes Kid Connection, activities to reinforce
the lesson and snack time.
Be
sure to watch for the “Family Activity” page in your child's take
home bag. There are some great suggestions for you to do as a
family all week long.

Educate has
been busy gathering up all of the props and cool visuals for the
new year. The children will have “tons of fun” while they learn.
Lesson delivery will be through playing games, doing Life Application
activities, puppets and much more. Don't expect it to be quiet
in the Preschool hall this year….the classrooms also have music
and sound effects to help keep the lessons
fun and stimulating. Grover the Game
box and Benny the Backpack help with the lessons, while Telephony
calls with a silly joke each Sunday. The kids are going to have
great time learning about Jesus and his love.
The
new curriculum is used in conjunction with the Beginner's Bible.
This is a great Bible for Preschool aged children. If you wish
to purchase one for your child to keep at home, you can find them
as most local Christian bookstores. If you have trouble tracking
one down let me know and I will see if I can help.
Thank you for allowing
us to partner with you in the raising up of “Children of Faith”.
