Singles'
Trip to Mammoth Cave
By Pam
Fife, Singles Group 35+ Ministry Team Leader
Early Saturday morning,
7 adults and 3 kids set out on a road trip to Mammoth Cave. We
hooked up with a very knowledgeable ranger and asked a gazillion
questions, probably driving her nuts. We had a great time and
I'm sure we weren't the quietest group that day! We never are.
Not
ready to leave yet, we went on a short hike and then headed off
to eat. This group has been on several outings together so far,
including a very exhausting canoe trip at Blue River, bowling
at King Pin Lanes and Lazer Blaze. Each event brings someone new
to the group and that's my favorite part. We learn something new
about each other with each outing. You can't beat that kind of
fellowship.
We had so much fun on the
last canoe trip that I've had requests to plan another one. There's
also some serious talk about a white water rafting trip and I'm
in the process of trying to get a group to do a 5k run/walk. This
is starting to turn into a very adventurous group. We're always
trying to bring in new members and come up with new outing ideas.
Most of the events we plan
are kid-friendly and they are always adult-fun. Whether you're
a single person or a single parent we have events planned for
everyone to enjoy.
Please contact Pam Fife, 955-5618 or 523-9384, or pfife@insightbb.com
if you have any questions or suggestions. We look forward to
hearing from you.
