Singles' Group Progressive Dinner
by Cathy Badgett

The Singles’ Group had a progressive dinner on May 21. Thanks
to the efforts of several people, the dinner was a huge success!
Fun! We started the evening with an icebreaker
game so we could get to know each other better. A door prize was
given away from a local Christian bookstore to one special guest.
Food! We dined on some exquisite appetizers (sushi &
meatballs), a seven-layer salad that was scrumptious, tantalizing
Chicken Tetrazini for the main course, and oh-so-good Crème
Puffs for dessert.
Fellowship! There was a time of devotion dedicated
on what it means to be a “Christian Single” in the
church today. We discussed future plans for the group and the
impact we’d like to have. The night closed with each person
receiving a “goodie” bag to remember our special evening
together.
We hope singles at OCC know they are not alone and we look forward
to continued lunches and special events and invite you to join
us! *
*Watch for listing of future activities in the Sunday bulletin.
