Tea and Traditions '05
If you missed this year’s
Tea & and Traditions event, you missed a great beginning to
the Christmas season for 2005! The event was expanded to two days
this year. The Friday Tea was sold out and the Saturday Tea, which
included young ladies this year, was also well attended!
This annual event is sponsored by the Women’s Ministry of
OCC. Lots of volunteers helped bake the goodies, and Joe LaRue
headed up a handsome group of men who were our table hosts for
the event. Our Worship Minister, Jonathan Colbert, and the Men’s
Ensemble, (also hand-some) entertained the ladies with several
Christmas songs, in a special way that only they could do!
The Fellowship Room was transformed into a beautiful “Christmas
Tea Room” by talented Laura Thompson, with help from many
volunteers under her direction. The theme for this year’s
Tea was “German Christmas Traditions”, with special
talks from several ladies about their own families’ traditions.
Be sure to plan early to invite friends and family to next year’s
annual Tea and Traditions!
