WE Care

“Only a few churches in our area offer programs for children
with special needs, therefore many families do not attend worship
on a weekly basis.”
In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come
to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs
to such as these.”
“We Care”, an educational class specifically designed
for children with disabilities, is offered every Sunday morning
during the 10:45 worship hour. In this class, the children explore
and begin to understand the love of Christ. The learning experience
is enhanced through bible lessons, skits, crafts, music, and other
hands-on activities. Mainstreaming, a brief period of time in
which the children are integrated into other classrooms, also
takes place every Sunday.
However, in order to reach the multitude of disabled children
and their families in our community, YOUR help is vital! YOU can
make a difference in the lives of these special children!
Due to the lack of disabilities ministries in our area, many of
you may know families with children who have special needs that
do not attend worship on a weekly basis. I encourage you to invite
them to experience “We Care”. It is a way for each
child to personally connect with God’s word so that one
day they may reach a level of understanding and accept Jesus as
their Lord and Savior.
Throughout the past seven months, God has impacted the lives of
our current children through the “We Care” ministry:
