Welcome, John Perciful
Since last fall, a search team has been looking to fill a new
position on our staff - the Executive Administrator. As the elders
mentioned a few weeks ago, this role will be critical to our staff.
This position requires a unique set of critical skills and experiences.
The Executive Administrator is in a major leadership position,
working hand in hand with the Elders, the Senior Minister, as
well as the rest of the staff. This position will oversee the
day to day operations of the church, taking much of the administrative
burdens off our ministers and directors. So it was important to
find someone with considerable depth of church leadership experience
as well as real world business experience.
As Andy Keth shared in our services last week, the elders firmly
believe that God is leading us toward enhancing our leadership
staff by emphasizing more of a team approach as we seek to fulfill
our mission. We believe such an approach will take us to the next
level of growth. The Executive Administrator will play a vital
role in such a team environment..
After an extensive process of reviewing, talking and interviewing,
God has led us to a man for “such a time as this”.
We welcome John Perciful as our new Executive Administrator.
John has degrees in Commerce and Business Administration and has
over 20 years experience in the business world having worked for
National City Bank, Aegon  Corporation,
and Papa Johns. As a long time member and Elder here at OCC, John’s
experience in the church environment is extremely deep. John’s
wife, Sherry has grown up at OCC and both she and John have an
intense love for Christ and His body here at Okolona.
We are pleased to have John as a part of our OCC team. Please
be sure to extend your encouragement to John & his family
as God uses him in this new role.
