Volunteers working in ministry are a vital part of our church. God's Word tells us that the Church is the "body of Christ" and that every one of us is a necessary and valuable part of that body. Christ's expectation of us is to be an active part of the body…in other words, we are "needed" in order for the church to function the way God created it to function. As a result, our expectation is for every member of OCC to be involved in some sort of ministry. Right now, hundreds of people, from elementary aged students to senior adults, serve God by volunteering their time and energy each week here at the church.
There are a variety of ministries
to get plugged in to here at Okolona Christian Church and we want
to assist you in finding the area that best suits you. One way
to get involved is to return the "Ministry
Interest Form" (you will need Adobe
Acrobat Reader® to read this 86k pdf file). On this form,
you'll find almost all the ministries we have available. Once
you've opened this page, here's what you need to do:
- Print this form.
- Fill out the information at the top of the page.
- Check-off the ministry or ministries that grab your interest.
- Next time you're at church, drop it off at the Information
Center.
Once you've done this, you will be contacted by that Ministry Team Leader. It's that simple.
We hope that, through this process, you come to really experience the joy there is in loving God back through serving others. We also want to encourage you in your ministry to strive for excellence. We know that God gave His best for us, therefore He deserves only our best. Finally, we want you to know that your ministry and commitment, no matter how great or small it may seem, will please the heart of God.
