Middle School

Reverb
Sunday 10:45 AM,
2nd floor, Youth Auditorium
Reverb: to make
the sound powerful, while keeping the overall mix clean; to re-echo;
to reflect light.
"Reverb" is "church"
for middle school students. Students from all over the South Jeff/North
Bullitt area gather each Sunday morning for this corporate worship
experience. Using multi-media, drama, creative arts, worship and
teaching from God's Word we strive to present the love of God
and His grace through His son, Jesus Christ, in relevant, creative
ways.

D-Groups
Sunday Mornings,
9 AM, meet first in Loft (WC202A)
Small groups meet together
to develp deeper, Christ-centered relationships. (For 7th - 8th
grade Middle School students regularly attending OCC.) These groups
are designed to help a student have a support group of other students
on their journey with God. Each group is gender specific and consists
of 4-10 students who listen to each other, pray for one another
and study together. Relationships are the key to small groups.
To get plugged in to
a D-group, contact Jon Maynard at 962-6500 or at jon.maynard@okolonacc.org.

A program focused on helping
middle school students understand the basic “elements” of their
faith. This program is held the first 3 Wednesdays of each month,

regurlary meet on campus.
Special
Events
Middle School
CIY
(Christ in Youth)
is a weekend conference for middle school students.
We usually go in February. The conference offers intense worship,
powerful speaking and personal workshops for the students to choose
from. We encourage every middle school student to go to this experience
with us. It can be life-changing.
Ministry Teams
There are a variety of opportunities for a student to get involved
in a ministry here. Drama, registration table, decorating, setting
up and tearing down equipment, running sound and lights….these
are just to name a few of the teams we have available. One part
of loving God back is using our gifts and talents to serve Him.
Ministry involvement forms are available at Reverb.
King's
Island
Every summer our middle school students spend a day playing around
at Kings Island . It's a great chance for our students to take
a break and have fun.
Special
Activities
Retreats
Our middle school ministry offers to students many opportunities
to grow. Our retreats are geared to reach our students in creative
and exciting ways. We commonly hold a middle school guys retreat
in the late summer/early fall, and a girls retreat in the spring
time.
Camp
Every summer our students have the opportunity to attend White
Mills Christian Camp. This is a week long experience where our
students are challenged to put their faith to work. We also play
lots of stupid games and get really dirty.
Adult Involvement
We are always looking for adults that love having a good time.
Areas where you can help are:
- Mentoring by leading
a D-group
- Being a speaker
on trips
- Leading a ministry
team
- Just hanging out
