Our Mission
The mission of Okolona Christian Church, as based in scripture,
is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who will love, live, and
proclaim the truth of the gospel message in every facet of their
lives.
This mission is carried
out through five specific strategies:
- Surrender
- Search
- Serve
- Study
- Support
Our Vision
Okolona Christian Church will be a body of believers who have
been purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ and therefore have
chosen to reflect his character in every aspect of their lives.
The body will be Spirit-led in all their decisions and actions,
striving to learn at all times, continually offering a sacrifice
of praise and worship, and implementing proactive vision to advance
the Kingdom of God. Because of the love for one another as children
of God, there are no points of discord nor any unmet needs in
the body. Each member accepts their role of servanthood, being
equipped to utilize their God-given gifts and passions to build
up the body of Christ. There is a sense of urgency, willingness,
and consuming passion among all members in the body to reach out
to the lost and unchurched community, both locally and around
the world, and lead them to radically changed lives in Christ.
As these virtues are realized in the life of each believer, an
incredible bond of unity exists that the gates of hell can not
prevail against.
