Jerry and Aleta Kennedy are missionaries in Cape Town, South Africa. Jerry preaches once a month at the Church in Macassar, and holds a weekly Bible study. Aleta teaches a youth class that runs concurrently with the Bible study. They are also working with the leadership of the Macassar congregation to obtain final approval of their building plans so that they can begin construction on a new building.

Recently, the Kennedy’s concluded a 13-year ministry with the Thicket Road congregation and began a new “house” church, which meets in their home in Pinelands, a suburb of Cape Town. Already, they have about 30 people attending and will soon be looking for a hall to rent so that the church can continue to expand.

In addition, they host a fathers’ support group to train young fathers how to be better parents and partner with other “house” churches in various Bible studies, celebration services and fellowship. Jerry also teaches at the Bible Institute. Aleta works with both the youth and the women’s group in the various congregations where they minister.
