Purpose Statement
The purpose of the OCC Worship Ministry is to lead people in expressing
a love relationship with Christ through the use of creative arts
that engage the heart, lead in worship and praise, show life authentically,
and address felt needs that affect people today.
Values
In pursuing our purpose the OCC Worship Ministry values:
- Christ-centered worship
- Evangelism through worship, encouraging believers to be contagious
in their outward expressions of praise and worship.
- Unity among Worship Ministry personnel with a desire to always
resolve relational conflict.
- The desire for excellence in all areas with a common desire
to give one's best.
- The placement of people into areas where they can succeed
and excel
- A common desire to be prepared and prompt for all rehearsals
and presentations.

and daily prayer/bible study.

Presentational Arts

Vocal Ministry
Team Leader: Jenny Krukar
Worship Choir: The Worship Choir Ministry is primarily
responsible for assisting in worship leading in our corporate
services along with special seasonal events such as Christmas
and Easter. The schedule is fluid based on the season and events
that are forthcoming. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7:00.
We have an open door policy as far as participation. If you love
to sing and love to worship God you'll fit right in!
Vocal Team/Solo: This is a more specialized area
which is used every week in leading worship. Participation is
contingent based on an application and interview. A desire to
be a spiritual leader and example is required.

Worship Team Schedule:
Instrumental Ministry
Team Leader: Rodney Stults
Orchestra: The orchestra is open to all past and present
instrumentalists with at least 2 years of playing experience.
Individuals must be able to play wide ranges of style and difficulty.
The orchestra plays periodically on Sunday mornings along with
special events as they arise each season. Placement is determined
by an audition with the team leader.
Rhythm Section: This area includes keyboards, guitar, bass,
drums, and percussion. Players must be experienced on their instrument
and capable of playing wide ranges of styles and difficulty at
a proficient level. Ability to read chord charts in all keys is
required. Membership contingent upon audition with team leader
and Worship Minister.

Worship Team Schedule:
Drama Ministry
Team Leader: Donna White
If you like to express yourself through acting, writing, or storytelling
then this is the ministry for you. Whether you are brand new to
this or would like to further develop your creative side, then
get involved in this area. The Drama Ministry provides short sketches,
both original and borrowed, for our weekly services. It also develops
more involved scripts for seasonal special events. All ages are
needed and welcomed.
Production Arts
Field Leader: Harold Mahan
An extremely vital source to the Worship Ministry, this area
supplies all of the audio, visual, and media support to all services
and special events at OCC. It's been said that "technology is
the campfire around which we tell our stories." It's also been
said that "video is the stain glass of the 21st century." The
Worship Ministry desires to communicate the unchanging message
of the gospel through whatever means necessary. In other words,
to make today's technology a slave to the gospel. Training is
provided and required for participation in the Technical Ministry.
Audio Ministry
The Audio Ministry provides audio support for all services held
at OCC. This includes front of house mixing, stage monitor mixing,
recording, CD/Tape duplication, equipment maintenance/storage.
Visual Arts Ministry
This area includes lighting , stage design, stage decoration,
banners, graphic arts, painting, set design/construction.
Video Ministry
This are includes IMAG (image magnification), camera operation,
live shooting, pre/post production and editing of video's, graphic
design.
Assemblies
Field Leader: Mark Jones
Communion
Team Leader: Shannon Gamble
Preparation and clean up of the emblems (bread and juice) served
to the church body for the Lords' supper.
Servers
Team Leader: Scott Campbell
Serving the body by passing the Lord's Supper (juice and bread
trays) and the collection of the tithes and offerings.
Host/Hostess
Team Leader: Lionel Alford Open doors, hand out
bulletins and greet members and guests who enter into our worship
service with a warm welcome and smile.
Information Center
Team Leader: Debbie Findlay
Provide assistance to our members and guests at our Information
center booth by answering questions or supplying any needed information
or directions.
Ushers
Team Leader: Matt Hutchison
Provide assistance to those entering the service and throughout
the service in a variety of ways: seating people, passing out
and collecting attendance booklets, count attendance, being aware
and helping those in need during the service, etc.
