National Day of Prayer
Thursday, May 6
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. The Bible instructs believers to pray for all those who govern. This is a time to dedicate ourselves to praying for our country.
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior…
Timothy 2:1-3.
Below are prayer guides that can help direct your thoughts as you pray for our nation.
