Have you ever stood on top of a mountain? Peered over the landscape from a scenic overlook? Maybe you’ve stood at the base of a mountain and looked up, noting its greatness and size. Or perhaps you’ve seen a mountain in a distance, rising from the plains and piercing the horizon.
There’s no doubt that God has given us mountains as pictures of beauty and grandeur. But more than just a feature in our physical landscape, mountains arise throughout the landscape of scripture. Some of the greatest moments of history occurred when God’s people experienced the power and presence of God in mountaintop moments. During this series we will explore some of the great mountaintop moments in the Bible and investigate what new heights God might have for us.
