At any given point in life, each of us may find ourselves in times of need and not knowing exactly where to turn next for help. The fact you are reading this now probably means you have found yourself in one of those situations. First and foremost, there is no shame, and please do not feel embarrassment in asking for help. Our God does not turn his back on us during these times, and we, here at Okolona Christian Church, want to help as best we can. That help might mean prayer, conversation, or financial help; but please understand that we can only do what we can. While we have an unlimited supply of prayer, we do not have an unlimited supply of funding. Sometimes it just takes a little boost to get us over that hump and back on track. This program is designed to be a temporary one-time aid in helping you through the difficult time, not to serve as a continuous crutch.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER FILLING OUT THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT REQUEST FORM
Please keep in mind that this is a multi-step process that will take some time for your request to be considered and evaluated. Please show us patience and understanding during this process.
- Above all else, you will be treated with compassion, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Once this form is completed, the Financial Support Team will evaluate the request and determine the help that can be provided. You may be asked to come in to meet with the Financial Support Team.
- Any financial assistance given will be done by payment being made directly to the organization the payment is owed. Checks and/or cash will not be given directly to the person asking for assistance, any family member, or individual who is not a representative of the organization to which the payment is owed.
- After a decision has been made, you will be notified of the decision in a timely manner.
WHAT OKOLONA CHRISTIAN CHURCH EXPECTS FROM YOU
As we are here to help you, we also want you to take action and begin down a path of learning and growing. Not only in your financial awareness, but in your faith and relationship with God.
- If not already attending Okolona Christian Church or another church, to consider attending OCC on a regular basis to come to know who Jesus is and how he can change your life for the better.
- Provide documentation (bill, notice, etc.) of the payment need.
Agree and commit to financial advisory help. This may be done through a class here at the church or a 1:1 session with one of our financial advisors.
