GIVING

WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!

Why Give Online?

Thank you for supporting our church! Online giving has many unique advantages. It allows regularity and consistency in our giving. It allows for us to easily plan our giving. It forces us to give out of the first fruits of what has been entrusted to us. Click the link below to give online safely and securely!

Ways to Give

Here are some easy ways to support our church.

All gifts are appreciated, and we will seek to honor requests for funds to go to a specific ministry, but we reserve the right to place gifts in the General Fund that will help support the current vision and ministry of OCC.

Your check or envelope donation must be delivered to the church by December 31. The church office will not be open December 26 – 27, 2024. Please be sure that your year-end gift is postmarked by December 31 or drop it in the church mailbox, outside Door 1, on or before December 31.

If you would like to make a special gift in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone’s birthday, anniversary, or other special events, you can do so through our online giving. This is a great way to pay tribute to someone who has touched your life in a special way.

If you have stocks or other investments that have increased in value, instead of selling and paying capital gains taxes, you can contribute the stock directly to the church. This will result in a charitable contribution deduction and may avoid paying capital gains taxes on the increased value. For more information, contact your tax or financial advisor.

Stewardship may already be an important part of your life. However, each of us has assets that have appreciated (i.e. our homes, stocks, retirement plans, etc.) but have not been included in our regular giving. By naming the Church as a beneficiary in your Will or Trust, you can continue your practice of stewardship at your death.

If you need to make a mandatory withdrawal from your IRA based on your age, you may be able to contribute that amount directly to the church without tax consequences. See your tax advisor before making this decision.

Not everyone is aware that you can contribute and still retain income from the gift for the rest of your life. Charitable Gift Annuities or Charitable Remainder Trusts allow you to receive flexible or guaranteed income, while also receiving a tax benefit. For more information, contact your attorney or financial advisor.

A Donor Advised Fund can be used to maximize your giving and tax deduction, in any one year and still manage the distribution of your gifts. For more information contact your tax or financial advisor or check out our Ministry Partner’s giving fund at cfrministry.org/stewardship.
