Jesus loved to use stories in His teaching. He leveraged the unique power of story to make God’s truth more memorable and accessible (and to fly under the radar of His enemies). It’s important to note that Jesus didn’t sanitize His parables. Not every character was noble, nor was every plotline wholesome – but the takeaways were always poignant and memorable.
